The tears flickered and burned in the corners of her eyes, he stood a few feet back. She turned her heel and pelted back to him, wrapping her arms securely around his waist, She heard him sigh, saw his eyebrows widen, and watched as his long arms draped around her waist loosely. He tried to tug her away but she dug her fingernails into his shirt with a fire inside her, refusing to be ruled over. The bell rang, a loud clear noise, ringing through her ears, tormenting her, she flung herself away from him and ran as fast as her shivering legs would run. He could hear him yell for her but she was burning through her body with new found power and she ran faster, faster and faster, in the direction of the forest.
