Mini book

Yesterday I watched a cool tutorial and made a cute mini book. the process of making the book was easy and fun, I am not a big origami fan but making the book was enjoyable.

I decided to make the book about about great and classic movies that I love! The decorating process of the book took a good part of the day but I am so proud of it! the movies I choose were Ferris Buellers day off, Clueless, Hunger Games, Mean girls, Pitch perfect and Harry potter. I put quite a lot of time on each page and I love it! I am currently working on a TV show one. And now i really want to make a book one as well but i would need 4 or 5 books to list all my favourite books.

I think that it was a great activity and I took a while and it was not a waste of time.

  1. Bluebell, well done! You've obviously put a lot of effort into these, I'm impressed. When I first read you had done movies I was expecting to see a different HP movie on each page but I'm glad to see you have included some classics. I love Ferris Bueller's Day off. Good choice. I could see how these might make nice little presents for friends and relatives, including photos, quotes and thoughts.

  2. I really enjoyed this book too. I think I definitely would have done a similar kind of thing when I was 12 if I had thought of it. And Ferris Bueller would have been on my list too.

  3. That is such as great idea Bluebell. Would it be ok with you if I featured this post on the Rāwhiti School Facebook page in case others would like to try this? If you are ok with that, email me and also if you had the link to the tutorial you watched that would be great to include on your blog post.

  6. Hi Bluebell, what a cool idea! Ferris Bueller's Day Off is also one of my all time favourite movies. I like the lettering and illustrations for each of the movies. I can imagine that this might start a collection of mini books for your personal library.

  7. Wow Bluebell! What a lot of effort you have gone to. I love the artwork that goes with each movie. I used to love making things like this when I was at school. You seem to have enjoyed a lot of movies and it is good to hear that you also love books a lot too. I am a real book fan and I sometimes get annoyed when my favourite books are turned into movies and the characters always seem different to what I imagined. What do you think, do you like it when good books are turned into movies?
