Pineapple Lumps VS Snifter Lumps. Which is better and WHY?

Today in literacy Sharon gave us a new and old pascall lollie. The pinapple lumps and the new snifter lumps and told us to describe and make a small report about each of these.
Here is mine..,

My Report
The pascall snifter lumps I give a rating of ⅖ stars. This is mostly because I have a personal distaste of mint. The strong and overpowering taste of the mint put me of as soon as I smelled it. The mint drowned out the chocolate which made me really sad because the chocolate would have been the redeeming quality for me. I think that someone who loves minty flavoured things would love these lollies. Even though I dislike minty flavour I was drawn to the strong taste. I tasted a lot like Goody Goody gum drop ice cream, its hard to explain the flavour but after tasting it you would instantly know the flavour I am talking about, the richness of the mint was breathtaking and these lollies could even be used as a mint.

Comparing this lollie to the previous product by pascall. I think that the pineapple lumps are better because I love the pineapple lumps and how they dissolve in your mouth, all in all I think that the snifter lumps are great but the pineapple lumps are a whole world better.

2 out of 5 stars.

Pineapple lumps              Snifter Lumps
It looks like an old brick chopped in half and dipped in brown paint.   The surface is quite bumpy by the looks of it and there is a little bit of pastel yellow stuff oozing out of the chocolate shells. There are small bits of chocolate chipped off. If you flip it over there is a smooth surface that looks like the chocolate has melted. There are ripples in the chocolate on top that looks like a wild ocean.
Smooth surface and I look like a stone slab but brown, it is in  a rectangle shape but the edges are smooth and not sharpened. When I snapped it in half the you could see the bright teal minty goodness in the middle. There is a very thin layer of chocolate and a lot of mint.
The feel of the chocolate treat is a lot like smooth sandpaper. At the start it is dry but if you rub it, it turns smoother and almost sticky. The ripples on the chocolate feel like running your hand along a metal fence. The sides were as smooth as a kitchen counter.
Rough and sticky smooth. It has the hard surface of chocolate while still being smooth. After tapping it I felt that it was very hard and solid.
It kinda smells like pineapple ice cream. It also smells a little bit like milk chocolate kitkat. After snapping it open it smelled extremely strongly of artificial pineapple. You can also smell the chocolate at it smells amazing! The smell of the pineapple was strong but the smell itself wasn't overpowering. It was a soft pineapple smell and in a way, quite soothing
Goody goody gumdrop smells like cheap toothpaste. The chocolate is almost invisible to the mint smell. After breaking it I smelt it and I could not smell anything.
When you first try and bite it, you have to pull it with your teeth. After breaking it the first taste that comes to you is dark chocolate that is rich and gooey and wonderul. Then slowly you start to taste the yummy pineapple, once you have sucked it for about 5 seconds, it gets smooth and you really taste the pineapple, even then the taste is quite suttle.
It kind of tastes slightly minty in a fruity bubblegum kind of way.
Peppermint eskimo taste, After a while it gets gooey and melts in the mouth. The aftertaste gives you a strong toothpaste flavour. The chocolate gets drowned out by the mint flavour and you cannot taste it. Which disappointed me because I love chocolate
It was as flaky as dry skin. After sucking on a bit of the minty part. You could not taste a thing.

  1. I think this is wonderful descriptive writing Bluebell. I've been thinking about trying the Snifter Lumps but after reading your review I don't think I'll bother. I can imagine what they will taste like and I don't think I'll like them.
